Fertilizing and Soil Amendment
Most of the trees and shrubs you see all through the city have been brought here from other parts of the country or down from the mountains. The Denver metro area is a high plains desert that we have built upon. Dry conditions are our largest stress on trees out here, but poor soils contributes greatly to the tough growing site conditions. Our fertilization has a whole different approach to tree health. It does have a slow release nutrient package + micro-nutrients + organic material + beneficial microbial spores. Soil building is one of our top priorities when we are fertilizing. Not only are we adding much needed nutrients, we are building the soil. If you help the soil, you help the roots and by doing that you in turn help your tree.
